Seoul National University is a national research university founded in 1946, located in Seoul, Korea.

QS World University Rankings (2013/14) considered it 35th in the world and 6th in Asia, whilst it was 4th in the independent regional QS Asian University Rankings (2013). 2-KOREA ADVANCED INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

KAIST is a public research university located in Daedeok Innopolis, Daejeon, South Korea. KAIST was established by the Korean government with the help of American policymakers in 1971 as the nation's first research oriented science and engineering institution.[3] KAIST has approximately 10,200 full-time students and 1,140 faculty researchers and had a total budget of US$765 million in 2013, of which US$459 million was from research contracts. From 1980 to 2008, the institute was known as the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. In 2008, the name was shortened to KAIST.

Pohang University of Science and Technology or POSTECH is a private university based in Pohang, South Korea, which is dedicated to research and education in science and technology.

POSTECH admits approximately 300 undergraduate students each year. POSTECH received 1,987 applicants for freshman admission and admitted 323 for the 2014 school year.

POSTECH provides the highest educational investment and the most per-student scholarship support in Korea, allowing talented students from all economic backgrounds the opportunity to obtain a POSTECH education. Yonsei University is a private research university located in Seoul, South Korea. Established in 1885, it is one of the oldest universities in South Korea.

The student body consists of 38,725 students: 26,731 undergraduate students, 11,994 graduate students, 4,518 faculty members, 6,788 staff, and 257,931 alumni. Korea University is a private research university located in Seoul, South Korea. It was established in 1905, making it the oldest institution of higher education in South Korea, it is widely regarded as one of the top three universities in the country. 1-KATHOLIEKE UNIVERSITEIT LEUVEN

The Katholieke Universiteit Leuven is located in the centre of the historic town of Leuven, home to the university since 1425. In 1968 the Catholic University of Leuven, considered Belgium's oldest university,  split into the Dutch-language Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and the French-language Université catholique de Louvain, which moved to Louvain-la-Neuve in Wallonia. Since the fifteenth century, Louvain, as it is still often called, has been a major contributor to the development of Catholic theology. It is considered the oldest Catholic university still in existence.

With 41,255 students in 2012–2013, the KU Leuven is the largest university in Belgium and the Low Countries. In addition to its primary campus in Leuven, it has satellite campuses in Kortrijk ('KULAK'), Antwerp, Ghent, Bruges, Ostend, Geel, Diepenbeek, Aalst, Sint-Katelijne-Waver and in Belgium's capital Brussels. On that day, the university also awards its honorary doctorates. The seal used by the university shows the medieval statue of the Sedes Sapientiae, Leuven, in a vesica piscis shape. Ghent University (Dutch: Universiteit Gent, abbreviated as UGent) is a Dutch-speaking public university located in Ghent, Belgium. It is one of the larger Flemish universities, consisting of 38,000 students and 7,900 staff members. The current rector is Anne De Paepe (nl).

It was established in 1817 by King William I of the Netherlands. After the Belgian revolution of 1830, it was administered by the newly formed Belgian state. The university's name is sometimes abbreviated by "VUB" or translated to "Free University of Brussels". 3-CHINESE UNIVERSITY OF HONG KONG

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (abbreviated CUHK and Chinese University in English; 中大, Zung1-daai6 in Cantonese and Zhōngdà in Putonghua) is a public research university in Shatin, New Territories, Hong Kong.

Formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong, it is the territory's second oldest institution of higher learning and only collegiate university. It is originally evolved from three existing colleges, the oldest of which was founded in 1949. These colleges themselves were formed also by merging universities that had existed in mainland China. The University has developed rapidly afterwards with the establishment of various academic departments and new colleges.

4-CITY UNIVERSITY OF HONG KONG

City University of Hong Kong (Abbreviation: CityU; Chinese: 香港城市大學) is a public research university located in Tat Chee Avenue, Kowloon Tong, Kowloon which was originally founded in 1984 as City Polytechnic of Hong Kong and became a fully accredited university later in 1994.

Tokyo Tech is the largest institution for higher education in Japan dedicated to science and technology. Tokyo Tech enrolled 4,850 undergraduates and 5,006 graduate students for 2009–2010. It employs around 1,400 faculty members.

Tokyo Tech runs intensive programmes for obtaining master degree or PhD. Called the Tokyo Tech's International Graduate Program, the programmes are targeted at international students of high academic potential who are not Japanese speakers. Lectures and seminars are given in English mainly by Tokyo Tech's faculty members. Programme starting dates are October or April. Public fundings for these courses are also available; those students who have academic excellence may apply for scholarships from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan.

Kyushu University is a Japanese public university located in Fukuoka, Kyushu. 10-UNIVERSITY OF TSUKUBA

University of Tsukuba (筑波大学 Tsukuba daigaku?), one of the oldest national universities in Japan, is located in the city of Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture in the Kantō region of Japan. The University has 28 college clusters and schools with a total of around 15,000 students (in 2003). The main Tsukuba campus covers an area of 258 hectares (636 acres), making it the largest single campus in Japan.

It is famous for research in physics, economics, physical education and social science. Its Graduate School of Life and Environmental Sciences is represented on the national Coordinating Committee for Earthquake Prediction.
